Digital Print Hiring Down?

According to Indeed.com, a site that tracks positions posted across all job listings, the relative growth for digital printing jobs is headed downward through September 2008. The hottest markets for digital printing include San Jose, CA with 141 jobs per 1000 job postings; Washington, DC with 132 jobs per 1000 job postings; and Milwaukee, WI with 92 jobs per 1000 job postings. The three worst areas? Detroit, MI (20 per 1000 listings); Miami, FL (22 per 1000 listings); and Rochester, NY (22 per 1000 listings). Incidentally, Rochester is home to Kodak and Xerox – two big players in the digital print market.
