XML/PDF Pavilion Featured At GOA/Xplor 2007

XML/PDF Pavilion, Conference Curricula and Vendor Tutorials to Debut at Graphics of the Americas/Xplor Exhibition and Conference. Exhibit and Education Combination Offers Unique Opportunities for Vendors and End-Users.

Miami Beach, FL, October 24, 2006 - Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibition and Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced the debut of the XML/PDF exhibit pavilion. In addition, the pavilion will be supported by topic-specific conference curricula and vendor tutorials at the co-located event, February 28 through March 4, 2007 in Miami Beach, Florida. As the new home for these emerging commercial, digital printing and web technologies, the XML/PDF exhibit pavilion and conference curricula will provide exhibitors the ability to reach a pool of 1000's of qualified prospects and attendees the opportunity to learn about, through Xplor's conference and see these technologies first-hand on the exhibit floor.

New Home of XML and PDF Solutions
"The combination exhibit, vendor tutorials and exhibition floor pavilion will give both attendees and exhibitors a powerful and rewarding event experience," said Kevin Brown, vice president of sales and marketing at RenderX and Xplor conference course chair. "Graphics of the Americas and Xplor has become the new home for XML and PDF products and solutions."

XML or Extensible Markup Language is a flexible text format that allows designers to create their own language for displaying documents, including HTML, PDF and others from of the same file. This allows users to maintain just one master document and the ability to automatically update other documents and files.

On the other hand, PDF or Portable Document Format has become the standard print file format for both digital and offset printing and can be opened on any computer using any operating system. These two complimentary technologies are converging and rapidly becoming co-standards for the creation, distribution and output for both print and online content.

The XML/PDF pavilion will dedicate 3000 square feet of the Graphics of the Americas/Xplor exhibitor floor to vendors who provide products and solutions in support of these technologies while the Xplor's conference curricula will provide 10 educational forums, classes and tutorial on both XML and PDF topics.

Together for the First Time
"In the past, XML and PDF-based education, products and solutions served different audiences and education and access to these technologies where only available by attending multiple events and conferences," echoed Chris Price, vice president and general manager of Graphics of the Americas and Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International.
